New Generations Unified Church

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

The New Generations Unified Church, Inc. (NGUC) does not desire to bind the conscience of an individual in areas where scripture is silent.  Rather, each believer is to be lead in those areas by God and Him alone.  Through prayer and studying the Bible, we believe the Statement of Beliefs to be an accurate summary of what the Scriptures teach.

The Inspired Scriptures:  The scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith, belief, and conduct.  The New Generations Unified Church, Inc. accepts the Bible as the word of God, as the all-sufficient rule of faith and standard for daily living (1 Corinthians 2:4 and 2 Peter 1:20-21).

The Deity of Jesus:  The Lord Jesus Christ is the son of God.  The scriptures declare His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death, resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of God (John 1:1, John 1:3, and Hebrews 1:2).

The Salvation of Man:  Man’s only hope is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  Salvation is by grace through faith and demonstrated in repentance leading to a relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3:3 and Ephesians 2:8).

Ordinances of the Church:  We believe that following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new believer is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water by full immersion in the name of Jesus Christ (Matthew 3:16 and Acts 2:38).

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the promise (Gift) of God to all Christians.  It was sent by Jesus after His ascension to empower the Church to preach the gospel throughout the whole world (Matthew 3:11, Mark 16:16, and Acts 1:4—8).

Sanctification:  The act of separation from that which is evil and dedicating oneself to God and that which is good, upright, and morally pure (John 17:17 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23).

Cheerful and Faithful Giver:  When we give cheerfully and faithfully in support of God’s work, many times  beyond what is comfortable and easy, we are expressing our faith and trust in God to provide for us and our families (2 Corinthians 9:6-8 and Luke 6:38).

Divine Healing: Jesus is the Great Physician and He can heal anyone of any affliction (Matthew 8:16-17 and Acts 10:38).

God Sanctioned Marriage and Gender Identification: Marriage is between a man and a woman.  God created both male and female in his image (Genesis 1:27 and Matthew 19:4-6).

The Second Coming:  The resurrection and rapture of all Christians dead and alive to meet Christ in the air.  The Second Coming of Christ includes the rapture and a return to earth by Jesus Christ with His Saints for a thousand-year reign (Matthews 25: 17-30, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, and Revelation 20:4-6).

The Final Judgment:  At the final judgement all men/women will be judged (Romans 14:10 and Revelation 20:12).

The New Heaven and Earth:  All of God’s children will reign forever in a new Heaven and new Earth (2 Peter 3:13, Isaiah 66:22-24, and Revelation 21:1-27).
