New Generations Unified Church - 2022 Theme:
"The Year of Kingdom Service"
The Year 2022 is proclaimed at the New Generations Unified Church (NGUC) as the “Year of Kingdom Service.” I encourage everyone to make a promise (covenant) to God by availing themselves for Kingdom Service. In order to effectively do this one must change his/her priorities to accomplish the works that God would be pleased with in our service to Him. We must examine ourselves beyond our carnal (fleshly) lives and unconditionally yield our service to the Lord.
Kingdom Service requires giving of our resources while laboring with our total mind, body, and soul in service to benefit God’s Kingdom, God’s Will. When a person has a genuine relationship with God, he/she will gladly serve God. We should want to serve God because He unconditionally Loves Us. We know Him and His nature (if not, you should get to know Him); an inherent part of knowing Him is a desire to love and serve Him.
When we think of Jesus’ earthly life, we should unequivocally recognize He was a servant. Jesus’ entire life was centered on serving God—by teaching, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing the sick (Matthew 4:23). Jesus “came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). He did not want to be served but rather He wanted to serve.
Kingdom Service is rooted in love, and not out of obligation or duty. This service to God is a natural love-filled response. Remember, the reason we can love and serve God is that He first loved and served us through His son Jesus Christ.
